NeFigure8n was started by a group of drivers who felt that figure 8 racing in Nebraska is the best racing you can be apart of and they wanted to see the sport grow.  Figure 8 racing has been going on in   Nebraska since 1994 and over the years the cars and drivers have changed.  No longer do you find a car in the field, knock out the windows, weld in some safety items and go race.  These days you have high dollar motors, tires and safety concerns galore.  Along with this transformation it has lead to the stock class division to go along with already popular open class division.  The stock class is for the guys who don’t want to spend a ton of money or are just getting into the sport.  The stock class has stricter rules compared to the open class where anything goes as long as long as the car is safe and can pass inspection.

Figure 8 racing has always been apart of the various communities in   Nebraska.  County fairs have been the main setting for figure 8 races since the beginning and will be in the future.  Races can also be found in the months leading up to the county fairs. Figure 8 racing in   Nebraska is made up of a flat track with a large tire at each end to mark the corners.  You can cross any place between the tires where you think you can make it.  Every track that is raced on is different in size and texture.  Some tracks are small and sandy where other tracks are very large and made up of clay.  This makes each race unique and challenging to the drivers while adding to the excitement for the fans to watch!

Nebraska Figure 8 racing is wild, crazy and a ton of fun to be a part of! It doesn't matter if you’re a driver, fan or someone looking for some good entertainment as you have come to the right place. By visiting the different area of the website you will not only will you get to know the drivers but you will learn about upcoming races, race results, view pictures and video from past races, as well as information about Nebraska Demolition Derby and the Nebraska Figure 8 and Derby Hall of Fame. Enjoy the site and we can't wait to see you at the track!

Difference between the two classes:

The open class is a anything goes type of class. Take an American made car and put any motor, rear end and do anything you want to the body and run it as long as it meets safety rules. We have guys running 383 stroker motors and cars that have custom built bodies on them.

The stock class is for the guy who wants to take a car, install all the needed safety equipment and then race. This is a cheaper way to race and more like how figure 8 started. This class is only three years old but has really grown. This class is getting more people into the sport and we have a big rookie class this year from what I have heard.
