Award Categories and Criteria
Sportsmanship – Someone who has practiced good sportsmanship all year with all the ups and downs of figure 8 racing. Do you know someone who always keeps smiling or continues showing good morale? Most drivers show good sportsmanship, but this award is for someone that really goes above and beyond in your mind!
Hard Luck – This award is meant for a racer that just can’t get luck on their side! We all know figure 8 racing has a lot to do with luck, most of us have our good and bad nights. This award is for someone who had a lot of trouble getting luck on their side during the year.
Helping Hand – This award is for a driver that is always willing to jump in and help on or off of the track. Who is the first person you go to if you need a part to fix your car? On and off the track, who is always willing to go above and beyond to help out. Who is willing to cut it close on time themselves if that means they can help you out to get out there too? This award is meant for someone you can always count on!
Open Class Rookie of the Year - This award will be given to a open class first year driver who records the most points during the season.
Stock Class Rookie of the Year - This award will be given to a stock class first year driver who records the most points during the season.
