A total of 51 cars showed for the for the 2009 Clay County Fair in Clay Center.  Of the 51 cars 12 of them participated in the stock class and 39 in the open class.  The track was very long and wide adn come feature time made for a very fast track.  The Stock Class Feature started with six cars with Collin Demuth 51 and Brandon Ogorzolka 82B leading the field to the green.  Demuth jumped to the lead from the pole position and lead the race start to finish.  Ogorzolka and Stacey Orlando 68 tailed Demuth closely for the entire race but finished second and third respectively. 

With many of the top cars sitting on the trailer Creighton Demuth 18 and Cody Blum 7 lead the field of 12 cars to the green.  Like his brother did in the stock feature Creighton led the open feature from start to finish picking up his 1^st NeFigure8n Points victory of the season.  The battle of the night was for 2^nd through 6^th position.  For the first part of the feature Blum held the second position trailing Creighton and holding off Jeff Wilhoft 45J and Leroy Taylor 07.  On the same lap Wilhoft and Taylor were able to make nice passes to move ahead of Blum putting him back to the 4th position.  Taylor and Wilhoft battle for second while chasing Demuth.  Midway through the feature Jason Abell in his orange and black 6 machine had raced his way into 3^rd to join the battle but broke ending his night leaving Wilhoft and Taylor to try and chase down Demuth.  Nine cars were still running at the end of the feature and all were on the lead lap.  The top 5 cars ran together for most of the feature with Demuth leading the way followed by Wilhoft 2^nd Taylor 3^rd, Terry Tritt 5X 4^th and Jeramie Diederichs 44D rounding out the top 5.
