The 4th Annual Bomber Blowout promoted by Creighton Demuth in honor of his late father Dr. David Demuth had 36 cars registered in the open class and 16 in the stock class for action that took place on Friday night at York County Fairgrounds. After two stock heats, four open heats, two stock consolations and four open consolations the feature fields were set. The stock feature started with nine cars. Chris Wize in the 13c and Creighton Demuth in the newly built 18 lead the stock class race to the green flag for the $400 top prize with Wize taking an early lead. After a couple of laps Demuth was able to make a move and get the inside position to the south corner and make the pass on Wize. Demuth then pulled away and never looked back and took the checkered flag with an easy victory. The best race on the track was for 2nd-4th, which was a battle between Wize 13c, Toby Beckmann 92 and Dan Botsch 37 who exchanged the three positions throughout the race. Botsch ended up pulling out 2nd with Beckmann finishing 3rd and Moore 4th.
The Open Class feature started 12 cars and paying $1000 to the winner. With a little luck on his side Demuth in his #18 machine pulled another front row starting spot this time next to 82B of Brandon Ogorzolka. Ogorzolka and Demuth went at for the first half of the race running one and two and chasing each other around one of the best prepared tracks in recent years. About halfway through the two drivers ran into some lap traffic and had an issue getting around the 81X car of A.J. Hansen coming out of the south corner. This opened the door for the 6X of Skip Blundell and Collin Demuth in the 51 who were running 3rd and 4th the first half of the race. After catching their break Demuth 51 and Blundell continued to run off laps running one and two until the red flag flew for a problem with the 81X. On the restart Demuth 51 was able to get a good jump and made the pass on Blundell and led the rest of the event for his first win of the season and the $1000 top prize. Blundell came home second with Ogorzolka and Demuth 18 finishing 3rd and 4th respectively
